BWS · 3D & Space
Plans and sections from one building model.
Constraint drawings and building models, saved and reopened exactly as they were.

What it does
- Drawing
- Draws with layers, hatch fills, snaps and typed coordinates.
- Linked dimensions
- Dimensions, including angles and radii, stay linked to what they measure.
- Blocks
- Repeated parts become blocks with editable text and adjustable sizes.
- Editing tools
- Trim, extend, offset, fillet, chamfer, mirror and array existing shapes.
- Sketch rules
- Lengths, parallels, tangency and symmetry are solved, not just drawn.
- Linked drawings
- Other drawings link in, reload and save edits back to their source.
- Solids
- Extrude, revolve, sweep, loft or hollow a shape, then combine solids.
- Building model
- Walls (straight or curved), doors, windows, slabs, stairs and railings.
- Views from one model
- Plans, sections and elevations are drawn from the one model, with hidden lines removed.
- Schedules
- Quantity lists and room schedules with net areas and totals.
- Drawing checks
- Built-in checks catch unjoined walls, overlaps and slivers before plotting.
- Plots
- Plots to physical scale as SVG, or as A3 or A4 PDF sheets with a title block.
What you receive
- Drawing sets
- DXF, SVG plots, and A3 or A4 PDF sheets with project, drawing number, date and author.
- Building models
- IFC4, OBJ and STL, and a plan-view DXF.
- Schedules
- Quantity and room schedules as data.
- Revisions
- Numbered revisions that reopen exactly as saved; an out-of-date overwrite is refused.
Formats
- In
- DXF (2D), STEP and IGES parts for the 3D editor, and a PDF page as an underlay.
- Out
- DXF, SVG, PDF sheets, IFC4, OBJ and STL.
Questions
- Do the sections change when the plan changes?
- Yes. Plans, sections and elevations are drawn from one building model, so they stay in step.
- Which sheet sizes do you plot?
- A3 and A4 PDF sheets, plotted to a stated scale, and SVG at physical scale.
- Do you check a drawing before it is plotted?
- Yes. Built-in checks catch unjoined walls, overlaps and slivers.
Working with BWS
Each engagement starts with a partnership inquiry: what you are building, on what timeline, and which engines it needs.
