BWS · 3D & Space
Products and spaces in physically based light.
Stills, film frames, texture maps and interactive web scenes, drawn by a path tracer.

What it does
- Light
- Realistic light with bounces, soft shadows and sky lighting from HDR images.
- Materials
- Glass, metal and coated surfaces with physically based materials.
- Fog and smoke
- Volumes of fog and smoke that scatter light and cast soft shadows.
- Camera
- Exposure, depth of field and motion blur.
- Clean images
- Noise removal that keeps edges, with cleanup across frames for animation.
- Passes
- Layered EXR files with lighting, depth and normal passes, and TIFF stills.
- Texture maps
- Occlusion, curvature and normal maps baked from detailed models.
- Panoramas
- 180° and 360° panoramas, and side-by-side stereo stills.
- Illustrated looks
- Ink-style outlines for toon-shaded, illustrated looks.
- Animation
- Animated 3D scenes exported as MP4 or MOV video.
- Web scenes
- Interactive scenes with hotspots, product variants and scroll-driven steps.
- Gaussian splats
- Gaussian splat captures drawn alongside 3D models.

Questions
- Can you make product images and film frames?
- Yes. Stills, and frame sequences along a camera move with the noise cleaned across frames.
- Can a 3D scene go on a web page?
- Yes. A web scene can carry hotspots, product variants and steps that follow the scroll.
- How do you check the light?
- Against scenes whose exact answer is known. The checks are written up in a research note.
Working with BWS
Each engagement starts with a partnership inquiry: what you are building, on what timeline, and which engines it needs.
